|Assets:||A big-play threat as both a receiver and a return man. Shows amazing acceleration. Explosive, elusive, and reads blocking very well. Can rush the ball fairly effectively as well if needed, giving him appeal in option setups. Constantly on the verge of big yardage.|
|Flaws:||Unpolished as a receiver. Lacks size and physicality in general and needs to add muscle mass to deal with the jam off the snap. Also needs to learn how to get better separation against physical defensive backs during his routes.|

Antonio Brown impresses his position coach | 07/14/2014 8:11 AM
NewsSteelers receivers coach Richard Mann said Antonio Brown looks "smoother" this season.
ImpactIt doesn't sound like Brown has gotten complacent as he comes off a sparkling 110-1,499-8 season. "He doesn't really look like the same guy. He's made a transition," Mann said. "He's very confident. He's matured. He understands the concepts." Brown is going to be featured heavily once again this season, especially with Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery gone. Another 100 catches is well within reach.

Mike Garafolo on Twitter
ImpactIt's a slow news day. Brown joined on with Jay-Z's Roc Nation not too long ago when it was the flashy, fun thing to do. Now, Roc Nation has lost its luster. Brown is entering year three of a six-year, $43 million deal. He finished second in the NFL with his 101 grabs and 1,499 receiving yards. Brown is a locked-in WR1.

ImpactWith the effort, Brown becomes the first player in league history to post at least five catches for 50 yards in all 16 games. His 1,499 receiving yards should end up second in the league. It's everything the Steelers were hoping for and more when they chose Brown over Mike Wallace. Capable of getting open at will over the middle of the field, Brown can also beat No. 1 cornerbacks deep. Going on 26, Brown will be a WR1 for 2014.

NewsAntonio Brown's Week 14 stats have been finalized at five catches for 138 yards and one touchdown.
ImpactThere was some controversy over Brown's stats because of the game-ending lateral play he was involved in. Brown now has three 100-yard games in his last five outings as he preps for a matchup with the Leon Hall-less Bengals this week.

ImpactBrown continues to be a total freak with the ball in his hands. His big play in this one was a 43-yard touchdown that came on a simple shallow cross that he burst around/past a series of defenders on his way to the house. Perhaps fantasy's most underrated WR1, Brown now has 89 catches, 1,240 yards and seven touchdowns with three games remaining. He's a good bet to shred the Leon Hall-less Bengals in Week 15.

Brown saw a ton of Lardarius Webb and Jimmy Smith in this one, and Smith has turned a corner in 2013. He's playing more physical. It's the first time Brown has been held under 71 yards receiving in the past six weeks. He'll be back on the WR1/2 radar next week against the Dolphins.

ImpactBrown missed an assignment that led to an interception. So even though the 2-6 Steelers were making mistakes all over the field, coach Mike Tomlin made an example of the NFL's leader in receptions. Regardless, it's already water under the bridge as Tomlin confirmed Brown will start Sunday's game against the Bills. Brown is a legit candidate to catch 120 balls this season.
Antonio Brown stays hot with 71 yards, TD | 11/03/2013 8:55 PM
NewsAntonio Brown caught five passes for 71 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 9 loss at New England.
ImpactProving he's a complete receiver, Brown just ran straight past the secondary for a 27-yard touchdown on a go route in the second quarter. Of course, he also got his screens and dump-offs that the Steelers run to get their best YAC guy in space. Through eight games, Brown is on pace for a monstrous 122 catches, 1,402 yards and six touchdowns. Given the way Todd Haley is using him, it's a sustainable rate. Brown gets the Bills in Week 10.
Antonio Brown on record-breaking pace | 10/31/2013 10:08 AM
NewsAntonio Brown's 56 catches through seven games are more than anyone in Steelers history.
ImpactThe record was previously held by Hines Ward, who had 49 catches through seven games in 2004 but finished with just 80. Brown is on pace to set team records in catches (128) and yards (1,440), and is also ninth in the league in targets. Given Ben Roethlisberger's reliance on Brown's YAC ability in Todd Haley's dink-and-dunk passing game, there's little reason to think he'll slow down.

Brown remains the clear-cut No. 1 receiver in the Steelers' offense and will be back on the WR2 radar for Week 4 against the Vikings.

I have seen growth in him and improvements, and that is what we want to see. He has come along as a number-one guy." Now playing "X" receiver, Brown will run a higher volume of vertical routes while also challenging at the short and intermediate levels. He's a recommended WR2/3 value pick.

Haley's "Zs" have been Anquan Boldin, Miles Austin, and Steve Breaston.
