Talks should continue on Thursday as the Clippers hope to keep Chris Paul happy this summer. Landing Rivers (and Garnett) would be a big step in the right direction, but it's anyone's guess as to whether or not Donald Sterling will be able to pull it off.
Marc Stein is reporting that a deal between the Celtics and Clippers involving Doc Rivers could be reached some time on Wednesday night.

Details are sketchy but it's become apparent that the Clippers need to find a way to get Doc Rivers in as head coach, or Chris Paul is not going to be happy. The last time we heard details about this deal it included DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks for Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers. Stay tuned.
The Cavs are still aggressively shopping the No. 1 overall pick but appear likely to keep it after "overvaluing" the selection, according to Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix.
In late May, Mannix reported the Cavs were seeking a scoring forward in any deal for the top selection. There were rumblings of an attempt to pry Kevin Love away from Minnesota, but it would clearly take more than the top selection in this draft to get one of the best forwards in the game. If the Cavs keep the pick, sources tell Mannix that Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel still looks like the pick despite recent rumblings to the contrary.
