|Assets:||Strong, tough, and exceedingly hard-working in the post. An uncommonly sure shooter from both the field and the free throw line. A high-percentage scorer and rebounder near the basket who takes smart shots and doesn't turn the ball over. Shows energy and effort on defense.|
|Flaws:||Has a power forward's game with a small forward's size. A solid athlete but not always an explosive one, and isn't a top-tier rebounder or defensive presence for a player with a post-focused game. Could pass the ball much more than he does.|

Carl Landry making progress in knee rehab | 06/17/2014 1:18 PM
NewsCarl Landry (knee) is making progress in his rehab from a torn meniscus in his right knee.
ImpactLandry is currently rehabbing in Indianapolis after undergoing surgery on his knee in March and is hoping to deliver on the expectations the Kings had for him when they inked him to a $26 million contract last summer. "I dedicated this summer to redefining my mind and my body and hopefully having one of the best years of my career," the 30-year-old said. "Confidence is the game. After having injuries, there's certain moves you don't want to make." Landry only played 18 games for the Kings last season and can be a decent option in deeper fantasy leagues, but he'll join a crowded frontcourt once he's fully healthy and shouldn't be on fantasy owners' draft boards for the time being.
Carl Landry done for year after knee surgery | 03/20/2014 5:57 PM
NewsCarl Landry had surgery on Thursday to repair a torn medial meniscus in his right knee.
James Ham on Twitter
ImpactLandry's four-year pact with the Kings is off to a horrible start, as he appeared in just 18 games this season and averaged 4.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 13 minutes per game. He's expected to be fully recovered in time for training camp, but that doesn't mean he'll be worth drafting in typical fantasy leagues.
Carl Landry out for season w/ torn meniscus | 03/08/2014 2:25 PM
NewsCarl Landry will miss the remainder of the season due to a medial meniscus tear in his right knee.
ImpactAn MRI revealed the bad news, which means the 30-year-old will finish the season the way he began it -- rehabbing from a major injury. He's played 18 games total since signing a four-year, $26 million deal during the offseason. The Kings will rely on guys like Reggie Evans, Derrick Williams, Quincy Acy and Jason Thompson to pick up the slack in his absence.
Carl Landry out for the foreseeable future | 03/06/2014 10:26 AM
NewsCarl Landry (knee) will be out for the foreseeable future, according to Kings coach Michael Malone.
ImpactWe have yet to hear the results of Landry's MRI from Monday, but coach Kevin Malone's latest quotes don't bode well for Landry's availability in the near future. "I think they're still talking with the doctors, getting results, but he's out for the foreseeable future," Malone said. We'll consider Landry out indefinitely unless we hear otherwise, while Jason Thompson, Derrick Williams, and Reggie Evans will all absorb minutes that otherwise would have gone to Landry.
Carl Landry won't play on Wednesday vs. Bucks | 03/05/2014 6:44 PM
NewsCarl Landry (knee) will not play against the Bucks on Wednesday.
James Ham on Twitter
ImpactThere is still no word on his MRI and the Kings have no reason to put him on the court at less than 100 percent. Landry has battled injuries all season and played in just 18 games so far this season, so he can be ignored in almost all formats until he can prove he's able to stay healthy.
Carl Landry awaiting MRI results on knee | 03/04/2014 9:33 AM
NewsThe Kings are awaiting MRI results on Carl Landry (knee) before determining next steps.
ImpactLandry has missed three games with his sore right knee and his impending MRI results will help determine how the team proceeds. "Once we get those results, obviously we'll be able to have a much better idea of what the plan is with him moving forward," coach Michael Malone said. "I'm hoping that he's going to be able to play some of these games to finish out the season." The Kings had been planning to give Landry a lot of playing time, but Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson will benefit from the inherited his minutes for as long as Landry is out.
Carl Landry (knee) still out of the lineup | 03/03/2014 9:15 PM
NewsCarl Landry (knee) will not play against the Pelicans on Monday.
James Ham on Twitter
ImpactHe is headed for an MRI on his injured knee and it sounds like he'll be missing more time. Landry just can't stay healthy in his first year back in Sacramento, so he's not really on the fantasy ready until he shows he can stay on the court.
Carl Landry (knee) not play on Saturday | 03/01/2014 9:16 PM
NewsCarl Landry (knee) will not play against the Wolves on Saturday night.
James Ham on Twitter
ImpactHis knee tendinitis will keep him out of his second game in a row this weekend. Landry's hip surgery in the offseason has kept him down for most of this season and he's unlikely to get anything going in his first year back with the Kings.
Carl Landry (knee) out on Friday vs. Lakers | 02/28/2014 9:12 PM
NewsCarl Landry (knee) will not play on Friday against the Lakers.
ImpactLandry is still playing his way into shape and though he has shown some progress from what appeared to be a Chuck Hayes reenactment, this could be a sign that he's still a ways away or some new ailment. We'll let you know when we get clarification. Look for Derrick Williams, Jason Thompson, Reggie Evans and Aaron Gray to each play more than they're accustomed to.
Carl Landry won't draw start after all | 02/28/2014 2:17 PM
NewsUpdating a previous item, Carl Landry will not start Friday's game against the Lakers.
Jason Jones on Twitter
ImpactWith the Lakers starting Wes Johnson at the power forward spot, the Kings will be going small. Derrick Williams will start at the four and Jason Thompson will be at the five. Landry isn't a recommended plug-n-play as he fights with Reggie Evans for minutes off the bench.
Carl Landry to start for suspended Cousins? | 02/28/2014 9:57 AM
NewsThe Sacramento Bee projects Carl Landy as the starter in place of DeMarcus Cousins (suspension) Friday night.
ImpactThe Bee expects the starting five to be Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLeMore, Rudy Gay, Landry and Jason Thompson. Landry only had nine points and five rebounds when he started in place of Cousins on Feb. 19, but this time he'll be facing a Lakers defense that is incapable of defending the interior. We'd expect a little more production, although Derrick Williams, Aaron Gray and Reggie Evans will see plenty of burn off the bench. It's a low-floor situation for daily leaguers. Cousins will come off suspension Saturday.
Carl Landry to move ahead of Thompson | 02/21/2014 11:33 AM
NewsCoach Mike Malone hinted that Carl Landry could move ahead of Jason Thompson going forward.
ImpactLandry was signed to a four-year, $26 million contract prior to this season. So far, the Kings have gotten 15 games and 12.5 minutes a night for their money. It only makes sense to get Landry on the court more so they can at least evaluate how he fits with their other pieces. The 18-36 Kings have nothing to lose.
Carl Landry starts in absence of Cousins | 02/20/2014 2:47 AM
NewsCarl Landry got a start on Wednesday and had nine points and five rebounds in 21 minutes.
ImpactCousins is day-to-day with a hip injury, but Jason Thompson, who had just six points and six rebounds in another start tonight, is actually a better bet for success while Cousins is out.
Carl Landry in the starting lineup for Kings | 02/19/2014 10:17 PM
NewsCarl Landry made his first start of the season against the Warriors on Wednesday.
ImpactHe's been held in check all season, playing just 11.9 minutes per game with averages of 3.6 points, 3.2 boards and 0.1 steals. Landry has been an efficient scorer in his career, but his hip injury from the offseason still seems to be holding him back. He's only worth a look in deep leagues.
Carl Landry (hip surgery) not 100 percent | 02/12/2014 11:53 AM
NewsCarl Landry has not yet fully recovered from hip surgery and his conditioning is a "work in progress," according to coach Mike Malone.
Impact"I think he's been a little bit inconsistent, but that's to be expected," Malone said. "We haven't lost a bit of confidence in him at all." Landry has nearly falled out of the Kings' rotation and he's a very dubious fantasy option even if he earns more minutes in the season's final months.
Carl Landry scores season-high eight points | 01/30/2014 2:23 AM
NewsCarl Landry scored a season-high eight points against the Grizzlies during Wednesday's 99-89 loss, adding nine boards and two fouls in 23 minutes.
ImpactHis nine boards matched his season high and his 23 minutes were his second-highest total. Landry has been terrific in shooting percentages in his career, making 53.5 percent from the field and 78.4 percent from the line, but he's still only on the radar in very deep leagues.
Landry plays much more than expected | 01/25/2014 4:28 AM
NewsCarl Landry played much more than anybody on the Kings' side wanted on Friday, scoring five points on 2-of-8 shooting with nine rebounds in 26 minutes.
ImpactThe Kings were in extreme foul trouble and without both DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay. Landry looks a little heavy and it's going to take a little bit before we can get a sense of his timetable to be full speed. He's waiver wire fodder for now.
Carl Landry (hip) sits out vs. Pelicans | 01/22/2014 10:15 AM
NewsCarl Landry (hip) didn't play on Tuesday with the Kings well ahead in the fourth quarter, but coach Mike Malone hopes to play him vs. Houston on Wednesday.
ImpactLandry played nine minutes in his season debut and will be eased into the rotation very slowly. He's not worth a roster spot in typical fantasy leagues.
Carl Landry (hip) eased into action for Kings | 01/20/2014 9:43 AM
NewsCarl Landry (hip) played the final nine minutes of Sunday's game, part of coach Mike Malone's plan to ease him back into the rotation.
Impact"We felt me just getting my feet wet and getting me back in the groove of things was best," Landry said. "He just didn't want to throw me into the fire with 25, 30 minutes a game." He may provide enough rebounds and points to be worth a look once he's totally healthy, but for now standard-league owners should leave him on the waiver wire.
Carl Landry (hip) scores six points in debut | 01/19/2014 9:52 PM
NewsCarl Landry (hip) made his season debut vs. the Thunder on Sunday, scoring six points with four rebounds in nine minutes off the bench.
ImpactHis return is great news for the Kings, who gave him a four-year, $26 million contract this summer, but it's less beneficial in standard fantasy leagues. Landry will likely cut into the playing time of Jason Thompson (11 points, 10 rebounds in 30 minutes) and Derrick Williams (five points in 30 minutes). Even at full strength Landry is a two-dimensional fantasy option with career averages of 11.9 points on 53.6 percent shooting, 5.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in 25 minutes per game.
Carl Landry (hip) will dress vs. OKC Sunday | 01/19/2014 6:05 PM
NewsCarl Landry (hip) will be in uniform on Sunday for the first time all season.
James Ham on Twitter
ImpactEven if Landry doesn't play, this marks a major milestone in his lengthy rehab from a torn hip flexor. His impending return spells trouble for the fantasy value of Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams.
Carl Landry (hip) active in 3-on-3 scrimmages | 01/08/2014 10:41 AM
NewsInjured forward Carl Landry (hip) recently participated in 3-on-3 scrimmages for the first time this season, but CSNNW's Chris Haynes reports that he's "still a few weeks away."
Blake Ellington on Twitter
Impact"He's getting real, real close," said coach Mike Malone. Landry's return would give the Kings a much needed boost at the power forward position, where current starter Jason Thompson has been averaging a rather lackluster 7.5 points and 5.7 rebounds. Landry has been sidelined the entire season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn hip flexor.
Carl Landry shooting in pre-game warmups | 12/09/2013 9:58 PM
NewsCarl Landry (hip) was taking free throws in Monday's pre-game warmups.
Jon Santiago on Twitter
ImpactThe Kings trading away their depth up front by sending Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson to Toronto should give Landry a give chance for minutes once he's back from his torn hip flexor. He can play facing the basket and is one of the better mid-range power forwards in the NBA, so he'll be an interesting player to stash. Landry does not have a timetable to return and his initial prognosis would have him back around January.
Carl Landry (hip flexor) traveling w/ Kings | 11/25/2013 10:32 AM
NewsCarl Landry (torn hip flexor) is traveling with the Kings but he's not expected to play for at least another two months.
Impact"[Landry can be] a part of our team camaraderie and chemistry, and kind of mentor some of the other guys," said coach Mike Malone. Jason Thompson has been starting at PF but he's averaging 6.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in under 20 minutes per game, while Patrick Patterson is chipping in 6.8 points and 4.9 boards in 24 minutes off the bench.
Carl Landry (left hip flexor) out 3-4 months | 10/14/2013 4:20 PM
NewsCarl Landry suffered a tear to his left hip flexor and will miss the next 3-4 months.
Kings on Twitter
ImpactLandry is going to have surgery on Tuesday after suffering the injury at training camp. It's a big blow to the Kings and they're not going to see immediate dividends from signing him to a four-year deal over the summer. Jason Thompson gets a big boost and is now a decent player to target near the end of drafts. Patrick Patterson should also see more playing time.
Carl Landry still out with strained quad | 10/13/2013 12:14 PM
NewsCarl Landry has a strained quad and Kings coach Mike Malone expects him to return in "a short time."
Impact"I believe they've gotten the MRIs done and the results," Malone said. "I'm waiting to speak with [director of sports medicine] Pete Youngman and [GM] Pete D'Alessandro about that." Landry's continued absence, even if it doesn't last much longer, has undermined his odds of winning the starting PF job ahead of Jason Thompson and Patrick Patterson.
Carl Landry doubtful Thursday w/ quad injury | 10/09/2013 4:21 PM
NewsCarl Landry is doubtful for Thursday's preseason game due to a quad injury.
Jason Jones on Twitter
ImpactThat may explain why he didn't play on Monday night. Landry will be battling Jason Thompson and Patrick Patterson for minutes this season, which isn't great news for any of the power forwards.
Carl Landry gets the night off on Monday | 10/08/2013 12:27 AM
NewsCarl Landry didn't get off the bench on Monday night at Golden State.
ImpactIt looks to be just a night off for the newly-acquired big man and there have been no reports of injury. Landry will compete with Jason Thompson for minutes, so he'll have a lower upside while providing solid percentages.
Kings loaded w/ competition for PF minutes | 09/01/2013 9:51 AM
NewsThe Kings hope to find playing time for all three of their PFs this season -- Jason Thompson, Patrick Patterson and Carl Landry.
ImpactSacramento has plenty of competition at PF this year, which clouds the fantasy value of JT and Landry. Mike Malone hopes to see improved defense and rebounding from his corps of big men, which also includes DeMarcus Cousins and backup center Chuck Hayes.
Kings get Carl Landry for four years, $26M | 07/06/2013 4:27 PM
NewsCarl Landry agreed to a four-year, $26 million contract with the Kings on Saturday, per his agent Mark Bartelstein..
Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter
ImpactThe Kings finally got someone to join their team and Landry will return after a two-year hiatus. His first season with the Kings in 2009-10 was his best, averaging 18.0 points and 6.5 boards on 52.0 percent shooting from the field. He'll likely split time at power forward with Jason Thompson, so he'll lack enough upside to be targeted late in standard drafts.
Clips, Carl Landry involved in serious talks? | 07/03/2013 5:39 PM
NewsThe Clippers and Carl Landry are involved in serious talks, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Marc Stein on Twitter
ImpactAccording to Stein, the Clippers are optimistic they'll be able to land for the former Warriors forward. Landry is looking for something longer than a three-year contract and might cost the full mid-level exception for the Clippers, who are limited financially after re-signing Chris Paul and adding J.J. Redick.
Carl Landry aiming for long-term contract | 07/02/2013 10:00 AM
NewsFree agent Carl Landry hopes to sign "longer than a three-year [contract]" this summer.
Journal & Courier
ImpactThe veteran big man played the past two seasons on one-year contracts and he's looking for "some kind of security" with his next deal. He said the Pacers have had interest in him in the past, and he's open to playing for the Blazers or Warriors.
Carl Landry expects Blazers to pursue him | 06/30/2013 10:29 AM
NewsCarl Landry expects the Trail Blazers to be one of about six teams pursuing him in free agency.
Impact"Portland ... has been interested for a while and the feeling is mutual," Landry said. "They are headed in the right direction." The Blazers' first priority will be finding a starting-caliber center, but they offered Landry a full mid-level exception in 2011 and it's reasonable to think they'll kick his tires again this summer.
Carl Landry officially opts out of contract | 06/26/2013 4:20 PM
NewsCarl Landry has officially opted out of his contract with the Warriors.
Jim Paschke on Twitter
ImpactLandry had one more year at $4 million remaining on the deal but will surely find much better offers waiting for him in free agency. Landry has said he'd like to remain with the Warriors, but it's unlikely Golden State will be able to match some of the offers Landry will get on the open market. Stay tuned.
Report: Carl Landry expected to opt out | 06/21/2013 9:22 AM
NewsCarl Landry is expected to opt out of his contract with the Warriors, according to his agent.
CSN Bay Area
Impact"He's worth a lot more than the contract he has and the direction (we're moving) toward is him opting out," said his agent, Mark Bartelstein. "Things can change, but that's where it's leaning." Bartelstein added Landry will look at all of his options, and while it's not certain he'll leave the Warriors, it's looking like an increasingly likely scenario.
Carl Landry has a week to decide on option | 06/19/2013 5:33 PM
NewsCarl Landry has until June 26 to decide whether to exercise his player option for next season, according to beat writer Marcus Thompson.
Marcus Thompson on Twitter
ImpactLandry has one year and $4 million left on his contract but can opt out of his deal and become an unrestricted free agent. Landry would almost assuredly get a bigger pay day on the open market, but it's no secret how much he likes the Warriors. We'll just have to wait and see.
Carl Landry stuck in tough contract decision | 05/23/2013 9:25 AM
NewsCarl Landry called his current contract situation "the hardest decision" of his career.
Contra Costa Times
ImpactLandry can opt out of his deal with the Warriors that has one year and $4 million remaining on it, and while he'd be virtually guaranteed a bigger pay day and a multi-year deal in free agency, he really likes the Warriors and may wind up staying with the team. "I mean, this is the best team I've ever played for on this level, especially as far as chemistry," he said. The Warriors are Landry's first option, but we'll see if that holds true when the bidding starts.
Warriors GM doesn't know Landry's future | 05/21/2013 9:02 AM
NewsWarriors GM Bob Myers hinted that he's uncertain on Carl Landry's future with the team.
Kyle Bonagura on Twitter
ImpactLandry has a player option for next season, but he's expected to opt out in search of a bigger payday anda multi-year deal. Given the way he played this season, Landry should have no problem commanding at least a two-year deal worth $5-$7 million annually, and that would put the Warriors in a very difficult position in an effort to retain him.
Carl Landry could start Game 1 on Monday | 05/06/2013 1:04 PM
NewsBeat writer Marcus Thompson expects Carl Landry to start Game 1 vs. the Spurs on Monday.

ImpactThompson was "told" that Tiago Splitter (ankle) would start, but he's a game-time decision. Landry is expected to start unless the Spurs revert to a small lineup, so a final decision could come with a different starting five. Stay tuned.
Carl Landry working on his midrange game | 04/23/2013 9:56 AM
NewsCarl Landry has been working on his midrange game in order to become a bigger threat on offense.
Contra Costa Times
ImpactDefenses have been leaving Landry open from the midrange, and he'll have to take advantage of it without David Lee (hip flexor) in the lineup moving forward. "I will just take what the defense gives me," he said.
Carl Landry scores 11 points with five boards | 04/13/2013 2:24 AM
NewsCarl Landry played 28 minutes against the Lakers on Friday and had 11 points with five boards, one assist and one block in a tough 118-116 loss.
ImpactHe got the last shot for the Warriors and had a wide-open look on the wing. Landry's 28 minutes tonight are up from the 19.2 per game he played in his previous 10, so he should be flirting with that amount of burn while Andrew Bogut is on the shelf with the bone bruise in his surgically-repaired ankle.
Carl Landry comes back to earth Tuesday | 04/10/2013 1:45 AM
NewsCarl Landry had just five points and one rebound in 18 minutes of Tuesday's win over Minnesota.
ImpactHe had scored in double figures in three of his previous four games and had a huge double-double on March 31. He didn't have it going tonight, as Andrew Bogut and David Lee ate up most of the big-man minutes for the Dubs. Bogut finished with just two points, but added 14 rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes.
Carl Landry has 25 & 10 in efficient romp | 03/31/2013 1:38 AM
NewsPlaying possibly his best game of the season, Carl Landry came off the bench for 25 points and 10 rebounds, making 9-of-10 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs in just 23 minutes of action.
ImpactFantasy owners should be wary of Landry's fluky efficiency in limited minutes, as well as the fact that he did this vs. a tired, depleted Blazers team playing without LaMarcus Aldridge. True to form, Landry also didn't have a single assist, steal or block.
Carl Landry plays well in win | 03/28/2013 2:50 AM
NewsCarl Landry hit 7-of-9 shots for 16 points and seven rebounds in just 18 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
ImpactLandry doesn't have fantasy value as long as Andrew Bogut and David Lee are healthy, as tonight was fluke given his low minutes.
Carl Landry quiet in 13 minutes off bench | 03/17/2013 10:08 PM
NewsCarl Landry's slide continued vs. the Rockets, as he scored six points with four rebounds in 13 reserve minutes.
ImpactLandry is now averaging 6.0 over the past four games, with a combined total of one steal and zero blocks. He should be left on all waiver wires.
Carl Landry posts 18 & 10 in start at PF | 03/10/2013 1:16 AM
NewsCarl Landry started at PF on Saturday with David Lee (knee) out, scoring 18 points with 10 rebounds and two turnovers in 29 minutes.
ImpactLee has vowed to play vs. the Knicks on Monday, so Landry's starting job appears short-lived. He knocked down 7-of-10 shots and made all four of his free throws, but (echoing a common complaint about his fantasy game) he didn't have any assists, steals or blocks.
Carl Landry disappears in 13 minutes | 03/05/2013 2:24 AM
NewsCarl Landry played just 13 minutes in Monday's win, scoring 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and two assists.
ImpactLandry did well in the minutes he received, but Andrew Bogut returned and cut into his already light workload. If you grabbed him in a deep format, it's time to cut bait.
Landry scores 11 points with four rebounds | 03/02/2013 1:26 AM
NewsCarl Landry scored 11 points with four rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes off the bench on Friday.
ImpactLandry hit 5-of-10 shots from the field and showed why owners aren't exactly running to the wire to grab him. He's a low-end play at best, and best suited for deeper leagues while Andrew Bogut is out.
Carl Landry plays 32 minutes, scores 15 | 02/28/2013 12:29 AM
NewsCarl Landry came off the bench and scored 15 points with three rebounds, three assists and five turnovers in 32 minutes against the Knicks on Wednesday.
ImpactHe shot 3-of-4 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line, but he did turn the ball over five times. It was a little surprising to see Draymond Green start (four points in 24 minutes) on Wednesday, but Landry could have some value should David Lee's shoulder be an issue. If Lee can play, Landry been relegated to a secondary role with just 21.7 minutes per game over his previous 12 contests.
Landry goes off with 19 points vs. Wolves | 02/24/2013 7:29 PM
NewsCarl Landry excelled off the bench on Sunday with 19 points on 8-of-9 from the field with nine boards and one steal in 33 minutes during a 100-99 win over Minnesota
ImpactHe had 11 points and eight boards on Friday and he should benefit while Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely. Landry doesn't have a lot of upside, though, so he's not quite worth owning in standard leagues.
Landry goes for 11 and eight vs. Spurs | 02/23/2013 4:12 AM
NewsCarl Landry scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 21 minutes on Friday.
ImpactLandry hasn't really been on the radar but might be now that Andrew Bogut's future is uncertain once again. Consider him for pickup in much deeper leagues, but everybody else can just watch him for now.
Landry struggles against the Grizzlies | 02/09/2013 2:10 AM
NewsCarl Landry played just 13 minutes on Friday, scoring four points on 2-of-3 shooting with one rebound and one assist.
ImpactWith Andrew Bogut back the minutes have dried up for Landry, though with the Warriors losing games right now it can be argued that more defense in lieu of David Lee and Andrew Bogut's ole act tonight would have helped.
Carl Landry goes for 12 & 5 in loss | 02/06/2013 12:01 AM
NewsCarl Landry had 12 points and five rebounds in 22 minutes backing up Andrew Bogut at center in Tuesday's ugly loss to the Rockets.
ImpactHe has a four-game week and might be worth using because of it, but as long as Bogut can stay healthy, Landry's not a must-own in fantasy leagues. Bogut had 10 points, nine boards and a block in 25 minutes of the ugly loss.
Carl Landry plays 19 minutes in return | 02/01/2013 2:52 AM
NewsCarl Landry returned from his shoulder injury and played 19 minutes, scoring 10 points with six boards, one block and one steal against Dallas on Thursday.
ImpactIt might be tough for him to be consistent with Andrew Bogut now back with the team. Landry probably already peaked back in November and isn't really worth owning in standard leagues right now.
Carl Landry questionable to play Thursday | 01/31/2013 9:34 AM
NewsCarl Landry is questionable to play Thursday due to his shoulder injury.
ImpactX-rays on the contusion were negative, and Landry is a warrior, so we don't expect him to be out too much longer. If he is forced to sit out again, Festus Ezeli, Andris Biedrins and Draymond Green should all pick up the slack.

NewsX-rays were negative on Carl Landry's left shoulder.
Marcus Thompson on Twitter
ImpactHe sat out of Tuesday's game and the only diagnosis he has received was a bruised shoulder. Landry shouldn't be out much longer and he's a pretty tough player.
Carl Landry won't play Tuesday | 01/29/2013 7:51 PM
NewsCarl Landry (shoulder) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Cavs.

ImpactLandry joins Stephen Curry, Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes on the Warriors' inactive list. David Lee, Jarrett Jack and Klay Thompson are going to get a ton of shots up.
Carl Landry a game-time call Tuesday | 01/29/2013 6:54 PM
NewsCarl Landry (shoulder) is still a game-time call for Tuesday's game against the Cavs.
Plain Dealer on Twitter
ImpactLandry is dealing with a bruised shoulder. The backup power forward is testing it out as we speak ahead of the 7 p.m. ET tip.
Landry scores 12 points in 14 minutes | 01/29/2013 12:14 AM
NewsCarl Landry played just 14 minutes on Monday, but still managed 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting with five rebounds and a block.
ImpactThe sudden return of Andrew Bogut isn't going to do Landry any favors, as evidenced by the low minute total here. Bogut isn't a sure bet going forward, but owners should feel free to cut bait for a hot free agent in standard formats.
Carl Landry double-doubles for Warriors | 01/27/2013 12:55 AM
NewsCarl Landry had 13 points and 14 rebounds in 31 minutes of Saturday's loss to the Bucks.
ImpactLandry has alternated double-digit scoring games over his last five, but is also averaging 11 points, 8.4 boards and 0.8 steals in more than 29 minutes over that stretch. He also appears to have gained favor over starter Harrison Barnes, who was quiet again with seven points in just 13 minutes. If we had to pick one right now, Landry is the better player to own, while Barnes has more upside later on in the season.
Carl Landry struggles on Friday vs. CHI | 01/26/2013 2:16 AM
NewsCarl Landry scored just six points with five rebounds on Friday, but did manage one steal and two blocks in 27 minutes off the bench.
ImpactOn a losing night for the Warriors against a good defensive team, it's probably not time to pile on but it's disappointing, nonetheless. We wouldn't pass on a hot free agent to hold Landry, but we wouldn't treat tonight's result as a tipping point.
Carl Landry scores 20 points in another win | 01/24/2013 3:01 AM
NewsCarl Landry neared his season-high with 20 points vs. the Thunder, making 7-of-12 field goals and 6-of-6 free throws in 26 minutes.
ImpactThe backup big man grabbed his customary seven rebounds, with one steal for good measure. He tends to stand out with solid points (12.2) and rebounds (6.6), but a lack of peripheral stats limits him to late-round value.
Carl Landry double-doubles in spot start | 01/19/2013 11:46 PM
NewsCarl Landry had 11 points and 11 rebounds in a spot-start at PF on Saturday, hitting 3-of-9 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws.
ImpactLandry would be a valuable fantasy option if David Lee (ankle) sits out any more games, but Lee sounds probable for Monday. "We got Carl for his ability to come off the bench, at times start, at times finish," Mark Jackson said before the game. "We're very confident in Carl's ability to fill that position." We don't doubt the sentiment, but Landry is also the Warriors' only real option with Lee sidelined.
Carl Landry double-doubles Wednesday | 01/17/2013 3:13 AM
NewsCarl Landry had his third double-double of the season with 10 point and 10 rebounds in Wednesday's blowout 92-75 loss to Miami on Wednesday.
ImpactHe was solid to start the year with 14 points and seven rebounds per game in 27 minutes during November, but his minutes have dropped to just 24 per games in the past two months and he hasn't been as involved in the offense. He's still worth a look as a low-upside option in standard leagues.
