Ramon Sessions with 20 & 8 at point guard | 04/12/2014 9:46 PM
NewsRamon Sessions hit 6-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for 20 points and eight dimes in Saturday's loss.
ImpactHe started at point guard for Brandon Knight (hip) and did what he's generally been doing even when Knight is healthy.
Ramon Sessions scores 20 against Indy | 04/10/2014 12:05 AM
NewsRamon Sessions hit 6-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 20 points and four assists in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
ImpactHe's been on a tear for a month now and is averaging 17.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 0.8 steals and a 3-pointer per game over his last five. Keep rolling him out there.
\Sessions continues to be a fantasy monster | 04/02/2014 11:32 PM
NewsRamon Sessions had 19 points, six assists, three rebounds and one steal in Wednesday's loss to the Heat.
ImpactSessions continues to be a true difference-maker in the fantasy playoffs. He's played at least 41 minutes in five straight games and is averaging 20.8 points, 6.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds while making 30-of-36 free throws (83.3 percent). There's no reason to think Sessions will slow down.
Sessions goes for 20 & 11; Knight hits 25-9-7 | 03/31/2014 11:41 PM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 20 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in Monday's road loss to the Pistons.
ImpactSessions hit 9-of-11 free throws and has been playing mid-round basketball over the past two weeks. Brandon Knight hit just 7-of-21 shots but finished with 25 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the loss.
Ramon Sessions scores 22 points in start | 03/27/2014 11:04 PM
NewsRamon Sessions shot 5-of-10 from the field and 11-of-14 from the line for 22 points vs. the Lakers on Thursday with three boards, five assists and one 3-pointer.
ImpactSessions He played a whopping 44 minutes and dropped 28 points in his first start this season with the Bucks. He is a great fit for the team and his drives per game have risen since his days in Charlotte. He has 7.7 drives per game with the Bucks and he should be worth owning in standard leagues the rest of the way.
Sessions scores season-high 28 points | 03/25/2014 2:01 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored a season-high 28 points on 13-of-21 shooting with six rebounds, seven assists and two threes in 44 minutes on Monday.
ImpactSessions has been playing well enough to be owned and started in most formats and this cemented his outlook, as much as one's outlook can be cemented playing for Larry Drew. If he's available stop what you're doing and pick him up for his mid-round upside and solid floor.
Sessions, Adrien to start on Monday vs. LAC | 03/24/2014 9:40 PM
NewsRamon Sessions and Jeff Adrien will start on Monday against the Clippers.
ImpactSessions has been playing about 30 minutes per game off the bench and Nate Wolters' hand injury pretty much locks him into that many minutes or more. Giannis Antetokounmpo will also see a bump in minutes even as he moves to the bench and Adrien will likely stay in the 20-24 minute range.
Larry Drew prefers to keep Sessions on bench | 03/22/2014 2:32 PM
NewsCoach Larry Drew said he would prefer to keep Ramon Sessions on the bench.
C.F. Gardner on Twitter
ImpactNate Wolters (hand) is out for the season and Drew said he's still not sure who to start at shooting guard. Unless O.J. Mayo has somehow worked his way back into the good graces of the coach, Giannis Antetokounmpo really seems like the only option. Sessions still looks like a great grab in fantasy leagues since he'll be extremely busy as the second-unit point guard while also getting significant burn next to Brandon Knight in the fourth quarter.
Ramon Sessions scores 18 off the bench | 03/21/2014 1:19 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 18 points off the bench against the Warriors on Thursday with four boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.
ImpactNate Wolters went down with a broken hand tonight and Sessions figures to get the bulk of those lost minutes for the Bucks. He's scored at least 18 points in three straight and it would be a surprise to see his minutes dip below 33 or so. Sessions should be very productive in points and free throw percentage while also adding some treys, steals and dimes, so he's worth owning in all standard formats.
Ramon Sessions scores 23 points off bench | 03/19/2014 1:28 AM
NewsRamon Sessions came off the bench and hit 8-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for 23 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal in 35 minutes on Tuesday.
ImpactSessions is hot, averaging 14.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five games. If you're holding starter Nate Wolters (4 points), dumping him for Sessions makes sense.
Ramon Sessions drops 18 points vs. old team | 03/16/2014 3:36 PM
NewsRamon Sessiosn had his best game with the Bucks this season vs. his old team on Sunday, scoring 18 points with six assists and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.
ImpactHe shot 7-of-14 from the field and did his usual thing by going to the basket. The Bucks went with some three-guard lineups today and didn't get much help from their frontcourt in the loss. Sessions minutes have held steady at 27.8 per game over his last five, averaging 13.2 points, 5.0 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 triples. That's a serviceable line on the end of a standard-league bench.
Ramon Sessions scores 11 in Bucks loss | 03/12/2014 12:24 AM
NewsRamon Sessions hit 4-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal off the bench in Wednesday's loss.
ImpactSessions cooled off slightly, but he's scored in double digits in four straight games, averaging 13.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 0.8 steals over his last five. If you're desperate for a point guard, or own Mo Williams (hip injury), Sessions and Will Bynum are both worth a look, despite coming off their team's bench.
Sessions goes for 16 and eight vs. Magic | 03/11/2014 12:47 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting (6-of-6 FTs) with two rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 26 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Magic.
ImpactNaturally his numbers improved playing against a bad team in the Magic, but it's worth noting that Sessions continues to emerge as one of the team's more reliable players. He's still a deep league value on a per-game basis, but if he does something similar in the next one we might change that assessment. Fat O.J. Mayo played four minutes tonight.
Ramon Sessions scores 14 points off bench | 03/09/2014 12:05 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 14 points off the bench during Saturday's loss to the Wizards to go with two boards, one assist and one steal in 22 minutes.
ImpactHe played down the stretch and he shot 4-of-11 from the field. The Bucks have been using him as a sixth man and he's played a lot of guard next two Brandon Knight in his time with his new teammates. Sessions doesn't really take 3-pointers and his field goal shooting isn't great, so there isn't really enough upside to keep him owned in most formats.
Sessions scores 14 points in 24 minutes | 03/03/2014 11:25 PM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting (6-of-6 FTs) with four rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes off the bench in Monday's blowout win over the Jazz.
ImpactSessions has put up some useful games over the last week or so but there is so much upheaval in the rotation and along with tonight's loosely contested game there are a number of red flags. He's a low-upside speculative add best suited for deeper formats.
Ramon Sessions hit 11-of-11 free throws | 03/01/2014 11:54 PM
NewsRamon Sessions came off the bench for 16 points, one assist and a 3-pointer on 2-of-5 shooting in 23 minutes.
ImpactHe was 11-of-11 from the free throw line and his arrival appears to have ruined Nate Wolters, who had seven points and one assist in 19 minutes. Wolters has scored a total of 17 points over his last four games, and while Sessions is hurting him, we can't really get on board with recommending Sessions for a pick up, either.
Ramon Sessions plays 27 minutes vs. Pacers | 02/27/2014 10:24 PM
NewsRamon Sessions played 27 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday with 13 points, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
ImpactCoach Larry Drew played his newest guard at shooting guard quite a bit and Lance Stephenson ate the Bucks up a little bit tonight. Sessions is really a terrific fit in Milwaukee's offense, so his deficiencies on defense don't seem quite as bad. That said, he doesn't shoot 3-pointers too often, so he' won't really have much value in standard leagues with minutes in the 20s.
Sessions scores 16 points in big line | 02/24/2014 10:13 PM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with four rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Sixers.
ImpactLarry Drew rolled with his second unit and we wouldn't be surprised if the garbage time score early on had nothing to do with it, but it's hard to get behind anybody in Milwaukee that isn't getting it done with some consistency. Sessions has as good of a chance as anybody to rise to the top, but betting on it by cutting a player with consistent value isn't the right play yet in standard formats.
Ramon Sessions gets 23 minutes in Bucks debut | 02/22/2014 11:30 PM
NewsRamon Sessions made his season debut with the Bucks on Saturday with seven points, three boards, one assist and one turnover on 1-of-5 shooting.
ImpactIt wasn't the best debut, but getting 23 minutes with little knowledge of the system is a good sign. The Bucks are 27th in the league in free throw attempts and really could use a guy like Sessions who can get in the lane. Bobcats coach Steve Clifford liked playing Sessions at shooting guard, so he might have the same fate with the Bucks. He's worth a look in deeper leagues.
Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien ready to go | 02/22/2014 6:59 PM
NewsRamon Sessions and Jeff Adrien will play against the Pacers on Saturday.
Bucks on Twitter
ImpactThe addition of Sessions is interest for the Bucks. He's a great slashing point guard and could really help collapse defenses, which has been a big issue for their worst-ranked offense. Sessions is only worth a look in deeper leagues for now.
Sessions, Adrien dealt for Gary Neal, Ridnour | 02/20/2014 12:44 PM
NewsThe Bobcats have traded Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien to the Bucks for Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour.
Marc Stein on Twitter
ImpactThe Bucks acquired Sessions for his expiring contract and he should get in the mix for his new team. Brandon Knight hash played well this season, so it's hard to imagine Sessions seeing an expected role. The former Bobcat has played 23.7 minutes per game this season and doesn't shoot treys, so he's not really a strong pickup.
Ramon Sessions plays 29 minutes off bench | 02/05/2014 1:29 AM
NewsRamon Sessions hit 2-of-7 shots for six points, two rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes off the Bobcats bench on Tuesday.
ImpactKemba Walker is back, and while Sessions' minutes tonight were encouraging, his performance wasn't. If you picked him up off waivers when Walker went down with his ankle injury eight games ago, it's probably time to send Sessions 'back from whence he came.'
Ramon Sessions gets Dragic'd in loss | 02/02/2014 1:41 AM
NewsRamon Sessions shot 3-of-10 from the field for 11 points with one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer during Saturday's 105-95 loss to the Suns.
ImpactThe worst part of this game for Sessions didn't show up in the box score. Goran Dragic did whatever he wanted and the Suns put this game away somewhat early despite the Bobcats outscoring them 32-15 in the fourth quarter. His fantasy value's shelf life is close to expiring with Kemba Walker (ankle) getting close to returning, so his owners might want to keep their eyes peeled for a new player to add.
Sessions just misses double-double vs. LAL | 02/01/2014 1:42 AM
NewsRamon Sessions started again on Friday with Kemba Walker (ankle) still on the shelf, scoring nine points on 3-of-8 shooting with four rebounds and 13 assists.
ImpactSessions got a reprieve after news broke of Walker's setback, and with Walker questionable all the way through Tuesday's game, Sesh owners can hang tight and see how this plays out. He has been a top-100 value over the past two weeks in 8-cat leagues, but in 9-cat formats his 3.0 turnovers per game in that span has submarined his value.
Ramon Sessions scores 16 points vs. Nuggets | 01/29/2014 11:50 PM
NewsRamon Sessions played 36 minutes against the Nuggets on Wednesday during a 101- 98 victory, scoring 16 points with four boards, seven assists and two steals.
ImpactHe hit a couple clutch free throws down the stretch and had some great defense on Randy Foye to force a turnover. Sessions' fantasy value might be taking a hit with Kemba Walker (ankle) targeting a return on Friday, so his fantasy owners might want to have a contingency plan ready for the upcoming weekend.
Ramon Sessions scores just 12 points | 01/25/2014 1:16 AM
NewsRamon Sessions was held in check against the Knicks on Friday with 12 points, one rebound and three assists in 30 minutes.
ImpactHe didn't play in the fourth quarter of the blowout loss and would have likely matched his 36 minutes from Wednesday. Sessions is going to continue running the point while Kemba Walker (ankle) is down despite the Jannero Pargo stepping up his play.
Ramon Sessions drops 10 & 8 on Clippers | 01/22/2014 10:13 PM
NewsRamon Sessions hit just 4-of-12 shots but finished with 10 points, two rebounds and eight assists in Wednesday's win over the Clippers.
ImpactAs long as Kemba Walker is out with his ankle injury, Sessions should be in your lineup. Period.
Ramon Sessions excels in start, scores 23 | 01/20/2014 5:43 PM
NewsRamon Sessions was superb in his first start of the season on Monday, scoring 23 points with two boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.
ImpactThe Bobcats offense was clicking today and Sessions had no trouble breaking down the Toronto defense. He hit a couple clutch free throws down the stretch, making 10-of-11 from the field and 6-of-10 from the field on the day. Sessions is a great fit for coach Steve Clifford's offense and should be starting in all fantasy formats while Kemba Walker (ankle) is out.
Sessions to start at PG, CDR back in rotation | 01/20/2014 12:36 PM
NewsRamon Sessions will start at PG until Kemba Walker (ankle) is healthy enough to play, while Chris Douglas-Roberts will pick up extra minutes at SG.
Rick Bonnell on Twitter
ImpactSessions doesn't hit any 3-pointers but he's terrific at getting himself to the FT line and should rack up solid points and assists as the Cats' starting PG. It's interesting to note that coach Steve Clifford didn't talk about Ben Gordon's role with Walker sidelined 10-14 days, but the veteran should also get a few extra minutes off the bench.
Ramon Sessions scores 16 points vs. Miami | 01/18/2014 11:32 PM
NewsRamon Sessions stepped up in Saturday's loss to the Heat with 16 points, three boards and five assists on 6-of-10 from the field in 38 minutes.
ImpactHe leads the NBA in drives per 48 minutes and getting to the rim will never go out of style. Coach Steve Clifford also is a fan of getting closer shots, so there's no doubt Sessions is going to get all the minutes he can handle while Kemba Walker recovers from a sprained ankle. He's also very adept at getting to the line. The upside is high enough to pick him up speculatively in almost all leagues.
Ramon Sessions scores 15 in OT loss | 12/28/2013 11:32 PM
NewsRamon Sessions had 16 points, three rebounds, four assists and a 3-pointer on 6-of-10 shooting in 20 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
ImpactWe haven't blurbed him in a while, as he is very consistent, averaging 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 3-pointers over his last five games. And that might work for owners in deeper leagues.
Ramon Sessions scores 16 in win over Kings | 12/17/2013 10:38 PM
NewsRamon Sessions hit 6-of-11 shots for 16 points, two rebounds, six assists and a steal in Tuesday's win.
ImpactSessions isn't going to hit enough 3-pointers to be a must-own player, and has alternated good games with bad ones lately. But if you catch him on the right night, like this one, he can help your fantasy team.
Sessions scores 15 points off the bench | 11/09/2013 2:19 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 15 points off the bench on Friday, hitting all four of his field goal attempts and all seven of his free throws in a 15-minute outing.
ImpactSessions added one block and two assists and while he'll show up in the box score from time-to-time his limited role is going to limit him to deep-league use only.
Ramon Sessions scores 22 in loss | 11/02/2013 11:27 PM
NewsRamon Sessions came off the bench for 22 points and six assists on 5-of-11 shooting in Saturday's loss to the Pelicans.
ImpactHe also hit 12-of-16 free throws and played 34 minutes. He pushed his scoring average close to 16 points per game, but isn't doing enough other things to make him a strong fantasy play. Just keep an eye on him.
Ramon Sessions fully healed after MCL sprain | 10/13/2013 9:35 AM
NewsRamon Sessions had seven points, four assists and one steal off the bench on Saturday, showing no indications of the sprained MCL that ended his 2012-13 season.
ImpactThe bad news for Sessions is that both Jannero Pargo and Ben Gordon are also healthy, which erodes his minutes just enough to make fantasy owners pause. Interestingly, although Sessions set a career-high with 14.4 points per game last year, he easily set a career-low by shooting 40.8 percent from the field.
Ramon Sessions (knee) OK for Bobcats camp | 10/03/2013 9:23 PM
NewsThere have been no reports that Ramon Sessions (knee) is limited during the Bobcats' practices.
ImpactSessions season ended in early March after he sprained his MCL, but he didn't need surgery and seems to be healthy. We're removing the Bobcats' backup PG from the injury report, and will let you know if there's any lingering cause for concern.
Ramon Sessions' knee improving, minimal pain | 04/18/2013 1:14 PM
NewsRamon Sessions (knee) said his pain is down to a "pinch," but he still can't dunk a basketball yet.
Rick Bonnell on Twitter
ImpactSessions wound up missing every game after March 6 and never returned, and although his injury was a sprained MCL, it's taken nearly six weeks for Sessions to recover. The good news is that he's not expected to need surgery and should be fully healthy well before the start of next year.
Bobcats unsure of Ramon Sessions' return date | 04/03/2013 6:14 PM
NewsBobcats coach Mike Dunlap says he's not sure if Ramon Sessions (sprained left knee) will play this season.
Rick Bonnell on Twitter
ImpactDunlap says Sessions will be a big part of the decision-making process, but time is not exactly on either party's side. The Bobcats only have seven games left after Wednesday night and it doesn't make a ton of sense to rush Sessions back for a handful (or less) of games.
Ramon Sessions with limited progress in rehab | 03/20/2013 6:02 PM
NewsRamon Sessions can currently bend his sprained left knee but can't rotate it yet, according to Bobcats beat writer Rick Bonnell.
Rick Bonnell on Twitter
ImpactBonnell also notes that Sessions can ride a stationary bike but hasn't yet progressed to the point where he can rehab in a pool. Sessions, who was originally expected to miss two to four weeks, will hit the two-week mark of his rehab Thursday. Judging from his progress, we'd be surprised if he returned before the four-week mark, at which point there would only be a handful of games left this season. Fantasy owners who were holding out hope for a quick return can probably move on now.
Ramon Sessions has MCL sprain, out 2-4 weeks | 03/07/2013 6:01 PM
NewsRamon Sessions has a sprained MCL in his left knee and is expected to miss two to four weeks.
Steve Reed on Twitter
ImpactSessions apparently suffered the injury during Wednesday's game against the Nets. He underwent an MRI today, which showed a second-degree sprain. Sessions won't require surgery and could still return this season, which ends in roughly six weeks. Sessions' fantasy value was limited to begin with and this should pretty much seal his fate in most formats. Kemba Walker should see a boost and it's possible Ben Gordon and Jeff Taylor will get some extra run with Sessions on the bench.
Sessions scores 18 points off the bench | 03/05/2013 1:28 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 18 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 8-of-11 shots (no threes) with three assists and a steal in 27 minutes.
ImpactWith no threes, rebounds or blocks this is yet another line lacking versatility for Sessions, and along with Ben Gordon (14 points, one three, 16 minutes) the Bobcats bench can be ignored in 12-14 team formats.
Sessions scores 11 points with five TOs | 03/02/2013 4:35 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting with one assist and one steal in 18 minutes on Friday.
ImpactSessions has fallen way off the fantasy radar over the last two weeks, as the trade deadline came and went and didn't provide any relief. He should be on waivers in 12-14 team formats right now.
Ramon Sessions fills stat sheet again | 02/20/2013 11:00 PM
NewsRamon Sessions had 18 points, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting off the bench on Wednesday.
ImpactSessions has quietly had a fine season off the Bobcats' bench and Ben Gordon has fallen out of favor. Sessions should continue to roll as long as the Bobcats don't make a major trade and shake things up, and has scored in double digits in 10 straight games.
Sessions' 20 points not enough to snap skid | 02/09/2013 11:55 PM
NewsThe Bobcats' bench outscored the starting unit in Saturday's loss, led by Ramon Sessions' 20 points, three rebounds and four assists in 34 minutes.
ImpactHe added one 3-pointer, one steal and one block. He has late-middle round value in the past two weeks (nine-cat) and his role would only be enhanced if Ben Gordon (eight points in 28 minutes) is eventually traded for frontcourt help.
Sessions scores 12 points with seven assists | 02/09/2013 12:38 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 12 points off the bench on Friday against the Lakers, hitting 5-of-12 shots (including a three) with two rebounds and seven assists in 29 minutes.
ImpactSessions has averaged 31 mpg over his last seven games and has stabilized as a low-end asset in standard 12-team leagues. Half of those games came with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Byron Mullens out, but it doesn't appear that Sessions' minutes are going anywhere anytime soon. And if the Bobcats end up trading Ben Gordon (nine points, 4-of-13 FGs, seven assists) for Kris Humphries, he could get another nice bump.
Ramon Sessions scores 20 points vs. Spurs | 01/31/2013 2:17 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 20 points with three rebounds, one assist and three steals in 37 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday.
ImpactHe'll finish January with a very respectable 28 minutes per game, scoring 16 points with a few other contributions. Sessions has earned his stripes as a asset in standard leagues and is creeping into the 10-team territory with his consistency.
Ramon Sessions scores 27 pts off Cats' bench | 01/23/2013 10:43 PM
NewsRamon Sessions stayed hot in Wednesday's loss, scoring a team-high 27 points on 10-of-16 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs, with one 3-pointer, three rebounds, five assists and two steals.
ImpactWith January averages of 14.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.6 steals and a mere 0.9 turnovers, Sessions has been worth starting in most formats. He and Ben Gordon (15 points, six rebounds) continue to give Charlotte a much-needed scoring punch, and the Cats' bench ranks third in the NBA with 40.4 ppg.
Ramon Sessions pacing Bobcats in FT attempts | 01/21/2013 9:01 AM
NewsRamon Sessions averages one free throw for every 4.75 shot attempts.
ImpactSessions is eighth in the NBA in free throws made per game with 4.7 and 28th in foul shooting with an 83.9 percent clip. Sessions credits his ability to take care of his body in the weight room to stay aggressive, and it's an element of his game fantasy owners will gladly embrace. He's averaging 14.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.0 assists in just over 26.5 minutes per game.
Ramon Sessions posts 15-4-7 line | 01/19/2013 12:20 AM
NewsRamon Sessions scored 15 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 4-of-13 shots (6-of-8 FTs) with four rebounds, seven assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.
ImpactSessions is worth a short-term look while Gerald Henderson is dealing with back issues and Ben Gordon is struggling, but given the log-jam of guards any long-term value still needs to be viewed with skepticism in standard formats.
Ramon Sessions goes for 13 points, 1 assist | 01/15/2013 11:37 PM
NewsRamon Sessions had 13 points and one assist on 3-of-10 shooting in 28 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
ImpactHe's averaging 12 points and 3.4 assists over his last five, and is shooting a miserable 34 percent over that stretch. Shooting guard is getting crowded in Charlotte with Gerald Henderson starting and Ben Gordon getting minutes, but Sessions should be relevant again once he gets his shot figured out.
Sessions plays 29 minutes on Friday | 01/11/2013 10:33 PM
