|Assets:||Efficient and dependable. A solid passer who excels at driving the lane & kicking out. Scores well and is an above-average shooter (from the field and free-throw line). A natural lefty (making him tougher to defend for many opponents). Adjusts quickly and well to whatever role he's given.|
|Flaws:||Despite his mistake-free play in other areas he's not very accurate from the 3-point arc. Sometimes struggles defending one-on-one and isn't much of a source of steals or a rebounder. A bit injury-prone.|
|Career Potential:||Quality veteran rotational combo guard.|

Report: Beno Udrih to return to Memphis | 07/10/2014 4:10 PM
NewsBeno Udrih has reached an agreement to return to the Grizzlies next season, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
Marc Stein on Twitter
ImpactUdrih was acquired by Memphis from the New York Knicks in late February and averaged only 5.5 minutes in his 10 games played with the Grizzlies during the regular season. He managed to salvage his season with a strong playoff showing, scoring nearly eight points per game while shooting over 40 percent from the field. Stein is also reporting that his deal will be for two years at the bi-annual exception.
Beno Udrih 'unlikely' to re-sign with MEM | 06/29/2014 5:34 PM
NewsThe Grizzlies are reportedly "unlikely" to re-sign unrestricted free agent Beno Udrih.
Memphis Commercial Appeal
ImpactMemphis claimed Udrih off waivers last February and he stepped into a solid role once Nick Calathes was suspended, but it appears he'll look for his next contract outside of Memphis. The 31-year-old veteran isn't likely to earn more than a backup role regardless of where he signs.
Beno Udrih steps up in Grizzlies' PG rotation | 04/19/2014 9:39 AM
NewsGrizzlies PG Beno Udrih will take on a bigger role in the playoffs with Nick Calathes suspended 20 games for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.
ImpactCalathes was averaging 15 minutes per game and he proved to be invaluable when Mike Conley missed games in February, but his playing time will now fall to Udrih. Although he's only played a handful of minutes with Memphis, Udrih is a career 46.1 percent shooter (35.6 percent from downtown) and he boasts a solid assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.5.
Grizzlies claim Beno Udrih | 02/26/2014 5:14 PM
NewsThe Grizzlies have claimed Beno Udrih off waivers, according to ESPN.com.
Marc Stein on Twitter
ImpactHe'll compete for backup minutes with Nick Calathes on his new team. Udrih played just 19 minutes per game with the Knicks and quickly fell out of favor with coach Mike Woodson. He can be ignored in most leagues.
Beno Udrih buyout to become official Monday | 02/23/2014 12:41 PM
NewsThe buyouts of both Beno Udrih and Metta World Peace will become official on Monday.
Frank Isola on Twitter
ImpactUdrih was brought on in the offseason to backup Raymond Felton, however Mike Woodson refused to give Udrih minutes. Both MWP and Udrih fell out of Woodson's rotation, and an exit from New York can only help their values. However, without knowing where they will land, it's impossible to say exactly how their values will be affected. Stay tuned for more updates.
Report: Beno Udrih to be bought out by NYK | 02/22/2014 12:17 PM
NewsBeno Udrih is expected to be bought out by the New York Knicks.
ImpactBeno and Metta World Peace share the same agent and MWP's latest Twitter rants may have sealed the pair's fate in New York. No word yet on where either player will end up, but both could make a nice impact on a team headed toward the playoffs.
Beno Udrih most likely Knick to be moved | 02/20/2014 9:13 AM
NewsThe Wizards and Nuggets are said to be interested in acquiring guard Beno Udrih from the Knicks, according to the New York Post.
New York Post
ImpactUdrih said the Wizards tried to acquire him last summer, while the Nuggets are reportedly offering SF Jordan Hamilton, who has been starting with PG Ty Lawson out with a broken rib. With Iman Shumpert's knee injury, Udrih now appears to be the Knick most likely to be traded, so it would appear that congratulations are in order.
Rumor: Spurs may have interest in Beno Udrih | 02/14/2014 9:45 AM
NewsThe New York Post speculates that little-used Knicks PG Beno Udrih may be traded to the Spurs in the coming week.
New York Post
ImpactUdrih isn't part of Mike Woodson's rotation and he reportedly asked for a trade in late January, on top of which Spurs executive Scott Layden was seen scouting the Knicks on Wednesday. The Spurs roster is replete with PGs, but Udrih hasn't played in nine consecutive games and any trade would be a positive development for his dim fantasy outlook.
Beno Udrih not available due to an illness | 01/28/2014 9:03 PM
NewsBeno Udrih is not available on Tuesday due to an illness.
Scott Cacciola on Twitter
ImpactThere have been all sorts of rumors on Udrih, so there will likely be some more after Beno not playing tonight with the Knicks a bit shorthanded sans Iman Shumpert. He has no fantasy value.
Beno Udrih downplays trade-demand report | 01/23/2014 3:24 PM
NewsBeno Udrih downplayed a report that he's asked the Knicks to trade him, calling New York his "first option."
Marc Berman on Twitter
Impact"I'm a Knick. I want to be here," Udrih said. He's tumbled down the rotation since Raymond Felton's return and even as a starter he was a whipping boy for coach Mike Woodson, so it's reasonable to think that Udrih's agent has at least broached the topic of a trade.
Beno Udrih requests a trade from Knicks | 01/20/2014 8:59 PM
NewsBeno Udrih has requested a trade from the Knicks following Monday's game agains the Nets, according to ESPN New York.
Ian Begley on Twitter
ImpactHe played four minutes on Monday and did not score. There seemed to be quite a bit of tension between Udrih and coach Mike Woodson, so this is hardly a surprising development. The Knicks are not getting much help out of their backcourt and that includes Udrih. This news doesn't really have many fantasy implications and is more about the disarray of the Knicks right now.
Beno Udrih plays 13 minutes in loss | 01/14/2014 9:37 PM
NewsBeno Udrih played 13 minutes and hit 2-of-3 shots for six points, five assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's loss.
ImpactHe was a DNP-CD on Monday but got some run tonight, likely because J.R. Smith never got off the bench for the Knicks tonight.
Beno Udrih will dress vs. the Suns | 01/13/2014 5:59 PM
NewsBeno Udrih (knee) will dress against the Suns on Monday.
Ian Begley on Twitter
ImpactRaymond Felton is back and playing surprisingly well, so Udrih's playing time figures to be sparse. Plus, Toure Murry has played well off the bench. Udrih can be left on the wire in most leagues.
Beno Udrih (knee) questionable to face Suns | 01/13/2014 10:12 AM
NewsBeno Udrih (knee) is questionable to return vs. the Suns on Monday.
Ian Begley on Twitter
ImpactThe veteran guard has been diagnosed with knee inflammation but even at full health his fantasy outlook is dim, as a healthy Raymond Felton will force Udrih to compete with Toure' Murry for backup PG minutes.
Beno Udrih (knee) out again on Saturday | 01/11/2014 10:09 PM
NewsBeno Udrih (inflamed knee) did not play vs. Philly on Saturday and he remains day-to-day.
ImpactThis was Udrih's second DNP due to his knee injury. Raymond Felton is hogging minutes as the Knicks' starting PG and Toure' Murry has stepped up as a viable backup at the position. With Pablo Prigioni (toe, foot) also inching closer to a return, Udrih simply has no upside in fantasy leagues.
Beno Udrih doubtful due to inflamed knee | 01/09/2014 11:36 AM
NewsBeno Udrih (knee) is doubtful to play on Thursday after an MRI revealed inflammation in his left tibiofibular joint.
Knicks PR on Twitter
ImpactA few days' rest may be in store for Beno, which likely leaves the Knicks with Raymond Felton and Toure' Murry to hold down the PG spot vs. the Heat. Miami has backcourt problems of their own with Mario Chalmers questionable to play due to a sore Achilles.
Source: MRI on Beno Udrih's knee negative | 01/08/2014 6:37 PM
NewsThe MRI on Beno Udrih's knee was negative, according to Ken Berger of CBSSports.com.
Ken Berger on Twitter
ImpactHe has a chance to play Thursday night against Miami. Udrih suffered the injury on Tuesday but appears to have avoided an extended absence. Udrih's value already took a hit this week when Raymond Felton returned to action, so don't rely on Udrih for fantasy purposes despite the positive MRI results.
Beno Udrih suffers knee injury Tuesday | 01/08/2014 12:45 AM
NewsBeno Udrih suffered a knee injury on Tuesday and says he might have an MRI on Wednesday.
ImpactAs if it wasn't bad enough that Raymond Felton returned tonight to ruin Udrih's value, the injury makes it official. Udrih failed to score in eight minutes, and given the injury and Felton's return, he can safely be dropped at this point.
Beno Udrih dishes eight assists in 33 minutes | 01/05/2014 10:09 PM
NewsBeno Udrih started at PG and logged 33 minutes during Sunday's victory, finishing with four points, three rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
ImpactThe assists and steals should pacify most of his owners, but Udrih's value for the week ahead is still shaky. New York plays three games, Raymond Felton (groin) is day-to-day, and Knicks' coach Mike Woodson has found a new hobby in questioning Udrih's decision-making. Consider your alternatives and start him at your own discretion.
Beno Udrih takes a backseat to Murry | 12/28/2013 10:35 PM
NewsBeno Udrih picked up two fouls in the first quarter and lost some playing time to Toure Murry on Saturday, finishing with five points, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.
ImpactHe and coach Mike Woodson haven't exactly been best buddies this season. Udrih's defense is one of the worst in the NBA and point guards have been absolutely destroying the Knicks while he's been in the lineup. If there's anything remotely interesting on the wire, his owners might want to make a switch.
Beno rebounds to post 15-4-10 line vs. TOR | 12/28/2013 1:09 AM
NewsBeno Udrih rebounded from a terrible night to score 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, 10 assists and four steals in the Knicks' 95-83 loss to the Raptors on Friday.
ImpactDespite the big line Udrih is playing terrible basketball and that's going to carry with it his fair share of duds, but with the potential to go off like this on any given night and Raymond Felton's return a bit hazy he should be owned in most formats.
Beno Udrih at odds with coach Mike Woodson? | 12/26/2013 2:02 PM
NewsBeno Udrih vented his frustration after Wednesday's loss to the Thunder with coach Mike Woodson's criticism.
New York Daily News
ImpactUdrih's veiled post-game remarks ranged from strange to conspiratorial, "Sometimes I have a feeling like when I do a mistake, they have a feeling that I'm making the mistake on purpose. As weird as it sounds, that's how I feel." He never called Woodson out by name, but did add, "don't just be a coach, be a person." Woodson didn't sound excited about Udrih's post-game remarks at Thursday's practice, so it will be interesting to see how much Udrih plays during Friday's game against the Raptors.
Beno Udrih stinks in start vs. OKC | 12/25/2013 5:48 PM
NewsBeno Udrih shot 1-of-6 from the field for two points with four boards, six assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday.
ImpactHe was arguably the worst player on the court at Madison Square Garden and his first three shot attempts included one airball and two shots off the side of the backboard. As discouraging as this game is, Udrih should still have enough opportunity to get some chances to score and hit 3-pointers. He's worth a short-term look in deeper leagues.
Beno Udrih scores 10 points off bench | 12/24/2013 12:37 AM
NewsBeno Udrih finished Monday's game on the court running the point, scoring 10 points with one rebound, six assists and one turnover in 23 minutes.
ImpactRaymond Felton heard a pop in his groin and it sounds like he'll be missing some time. Udrih just gave back the starting job to Felton because his hamstring healed, so he will likely be back in the saddle for Christmas' game against the Thunder. Udrih put up a four-point dud on Saturday, but his 21-point game from Wednesday will make him worth a look for owners wanting some short-term help at point guard.
Beno Udrih stalls out in loss to Grizzlies | 12/21/2013 3:23 PM
NewsBeno Udrih, coming off a 21-point game, finished Saturday's loss with four points, six assists, two steals and one block in 31 minutes.
ImpactHis defense was egregious and his offense wasn't making up the difference, so Mike Woodson benched him down the stretch and played a starting backcourt of J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. With Raymond Felton (hamstring) targeting a return on Monday, Udrih should be unceremoniously dumped onto the waiver wire.
Beno Udrih looks great in start for NYK | 12/19/2013 12:55 AM
NewsBeno Udrih excelled in his start for the Knicks on Wednesday, scoring 21 points with four boards, five assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
ImpactIt was easily his best game as a Knick with season highs in points, treys and minutes. Udrih is a terrific fit for the Knicks with his range and he is decent at taking care of the ball, so it will be tough for coach Mike Woodson to take him out of the game with his lack of depth. Udrih will have some major issues on defense and did so tonight getting a front-row seat of Brandon Knight going for a career high, but he should be worth using in standard formats for at least the next two weeks.
Beno Udrih is starting for Knicks vs. Bucks | 12/18/2013 6:44 PM
NewsBeno Udrih will start at point guard for the Knicks against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Ian Begley on Twitter
ImpactIt is an expected move after Beno logged 30 minutes on Monday. The Knicks are going to be without Raymond Felton (hamstring) and Pablo Prigioni (toe) for most at least most of December, so Udrih figures to get quite a bit of playing time. They could look at Toure Murry and Iman Shumpert to help while newly-added Chris Smith will be at the end of the bench.
Beno Udrih plays 30 minutes vs. Wizards | 12/16/2013 11:59 PM
NewsBeno Udrih played 30 minutes against the Wizards on Monday, scoring 12 points with two boards, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
ImpactHe played some pathetic defense on Bradley Beal on the last possession of the game for the Wizards and that'll be a concern for the Knicks. Udrih is the last man standing after Pablo Prigioni broke his toe and will miss at least two weeks, so he'll be worth a look in standard leagues. He can hit threes and it somewhat proficient in steals while adding some points and assists. Udrih will have to share some of the minutes with Toure Murry and Iman Shumpert, meaning he's far from a must-add player.
Udrih returns to the bench on Wednesday | 11/28/2013 2:40 AM
NewsBeno Udrih returned to his bench role on Wednesday with Raymond Felton back, playing just three minutes with one assist to his credit.
ImpactFelton didn't look too great in the locker room after the game so Udrih could be right back in the saddle, where he would be a risky spot-play for any games that Felton misses.
Udrih posts 13-5-5 line in loss to POR | 11/26/2013 2:48 AM
NewsBeno Udrih started for Raymond Felton again in Monday's loss to the Blazers, scoring 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds, five assists and one steal.
ImpactOwners got 'good Beno' tonight and it's anybody's guess what they'll get going forward, but it looks like there will be at least one more game on Wednesday without Felton around. Carmelo Anthony added 34 points on 13-of-25 shooting with 15 rebounds and a full stat line in the loss.
Beno Udrih falls off in loss to Wizards | 11/23/2013 9:45 PM
NewsBeno Udrih wasn't effective in his third start of the season with two points on 1-of-7 from the field with four boards, five assists and two turnovers in 25 minutes.
ImpactHe had a goose egg in the scoring department in his first start on Tuesday, then exploded for 19 points on Wednesday. Raymond Felton isn't expected to be out for too much longer and Beno just shares the point guard duties with Pablo Prigioni anyway. Udrih needs too many things to happen to pop up again as a fantasy asset in most leagues.
Beno Udrih to start on Saturday | 11/23/2013 12:57 PM
NewsBeno Udrih will start in place of the injured Raymond Felton (hip, hamstring) on Saturday against the Wizards.
Al Innazzone on Twitter
ImpactUdrih has been the definition of hit-or-miss in the two games since Felton went down, scoring zero points on Tuesday before tallying 19 points and eight rebounds on Wednesday. Use him tonight only if you must, and keep your fingers crossed.
Beno Udrih plays better in OT loss to Indy | 11/21/2013 2:42 AM
NewsBeno Udrih made another start at point guard Wednesday with Raymond Felton (hip) out again and had 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists on 8-of-15 shooting, which included three 3-pointers.
ImpactHe was awful on Tuesday with zero points and four assists, and will likely head back to the bench soon with Felton due back sooner than later. If you threw him into a lineup after Tuesday's disaster, the gamble probably paid off.
Beno Udrih struggles in start for Knicks | 11/19/2013 10:41 PM
NewsBeno Udrih started at point guard for the Knicks on Tuesday and had zero points and four assists on 0-of-3 shooting in a loss to the Pistons.
ImpactPablo Prigioni looked much better off the bench with eight points, five boards, five assists, two steals, a block and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes. Raymond Felton may sit out against the Pacers on Wednesday as well, meaning these two point guards should get plenty more minutes. They'll be risky fantasy plays though, as the Pacers are among the best defensive teams in the league.
Beno Udrih may get the start Wednesday | 11/19/2013 11:55 AM
NewsBeno Udrih could get the start for the Knicks on Wednesday according to coach Mike Woodson.
Marc Berman on Twitter
ImpactThe injury-riddled Knicks' rotation is a hot-mess right now and Udrih looks to be the beneficiary of the uncertainty surrounding Metta World Peace and Raymond Felton's availability. The ten-year veteran hasn't played in the Knicks' last three games, but he could be an interesting start in daily leagues if he does indeed get the start over Pablo Prigioni on Wednesday.
Beno Udrih scores 19 points vs. Toronto | 10/21/2013 10:31 PM
NewsBeno Udrih was terrific in Toronto on Monday with 19 points, four boards, seven assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
ImpactRaymond Felton rested and Pablo Prigoni (elbow) has a minor injury, so it was Beno's show tonight and he didn't disappoint. The Knicks picked him up cheap in the offseason and he'll provide some nice depth since he's capable of playing both guard positions.
Beno Udrih day-to-day w/ strained left elbow | 10/14/2013 12:27 PM
NewsBeno Udrih sat out Saturday's game due to a left elbow strain, and his status for Thursday's road game is uncertain.
ImpactPablo Prigioni has started a few games at SG during the regular season, and both Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith could earn the job long-term. That leaves Udrih scrapping for backcourt minutes, and he's unlikely to hold value while Raymond Felton is healthy at PG.
Beno Udrih getting rest on Saturday | 10/12/2013 6:29 PM
NewsBeno Udrih will not play in Saturday's contest against the Celtics.
Ian Begley on Twitter
ImpactHe's fine and the Knicks are resting their veterans in a back-to-back set. Udrih will compete with Pablo Prigioni for minutes behind Raymond Felton and isn't worth drafting in fantasy leagues.
Beno Udrih wanted to be on a winning team | 09/05/2013 9:07 AM
NewsBeno Udrih said he "wants to be on a winning team."
Impact"I just want to be on a winning team," Udrih said. "The last couple of years I was with teams rebuilding. I was trying to bring them a winning mentality and it didn't happen. Now I'm actually on a team where I can play basketball and help a team win instead of teaching young guys how to win." He's going to share some backup duties with Pablo Prigioni and doesn't project to have much fantasy value.
Beno Udrih not playing in EuroBasket tourney | 08/26/2013 2:47 PM
NewsBeno Udrih is not playing in the EuroBasket tournament for host country Slovenia.
ImpactUdrih has been injured while playing internationally in the past and decided to play it safe, but the Slovenian team is fortunate to still have Goran Dragic, Marco Belinelli and Bostjan Nachbar on their squad. Slovenia is 10-1 in preparation matches for the tourney, with their final warm-up coming vs. France on August 31.
Raymond Felton 'loves' Beno Udrih | 08/19/2013 9:20 AM
NewsRaymond Felton said he loves Beno Udrih on Sunday.
Impact"I love Beno," Felton said. "I think Beno is one of the most underrated point guards in this league. He's going to help us tremendously, without a doubt." The Knicks did a nice job replacing Jason Kidd with Beno and their three-deep depth at point guard with Pablo Prigioni is a bit of a luxury. Udrih is unlikely to have much fantasy value while Felton is healthy.
Beno Udrih says Knicks contacted him July 1 | 08/10/2013 11:20 AM
NewsBeno Udrih says the Knicks contacted him and sent him a recruiting video when free agency opened July 1.
ImpactUdrih took a one-year deal worth the veteran's minimum because he believes the Knicks have a shot at the title. Udrih won't be a fantasy dynamo, or even worth adding in almost any league, but he should be a solid depth piece on a veteran bench in New York.
Beno Udrih turned down more lucrative offers | 08/09/2013 9:20 AM
NewsBen Udrih turned down at least one offer more than the minimum to play for the Knicks this upcoming season.
ImpactHis agent, Marc Cornstein, said he turned down "many offers," which is hardly a surprise with a handful of teams still looking for a third point guard. He's likely going to step in behind Pablo Prigioni to open camp and won't be worth drafting in almost any league.
Update: Beno Udrih will sign with Knicks | 08/08/2013 10:10 AM
NewsUpdating a previous item, Beno Udrih will sign a one-year deal at the veteran minimum with the Knicks.
Al Iannazzone on Twitter
ImpactIt's a solid pickup for the Knicks and they have been able to maximum their dollars and exceptions with players like Udrih and Metta World Peace at relatively cheap deals. Udrih will backup Raymond Felton and will have to battle Pablo Prigioni for minutes. Prigioni was a key part of the Knicks' 13-game winning streak last year, so the 31-year-old Udrih has his work cut out for him.
Knicks leading the way on Beno Udrih | 08/08/2013 9:12 AM
NewsThe Knicks are the favorite to land unrestricted free agent Beno Udrih.
ImpactIt's a mild surprise that Udrih is still out there and the Knicks can only offer a one-year $1.4 million deal to the point guard. The team is believed to be close to a $1.27 million contract and it can be agreed upon as soon as Thursday. Beno would split backup duties with Pablo Prigioni and even though he has a useful fantasy game with steals and threes, he won't be worth starting while Raymond Felton is healthy.
Beno Udrih interested in Beno Udrih | 08/02/2013 3:47 PM
NewsThe Grizzlies are reportedly expressing interest in free agent PG Beno Udrih.

ImpactUdrih may be a backup plan in case the Grizz can't lure Mo Williams in as their backup point guard. The Knicks are also in the mix for Udrih's services, but can only offer a one-year, $1.4 million deal. The Grizzlies can offer more.
Five teams interested in Beno Udrih | 08/02/2013 11:23 AM
NewsThere are five teams interested in unrestricted free agent Beno Udrih, according to his agent, Marc Cornstein.
Marc Berman on Sulia
ImpactThe Knicks are believed to be one of the teams, but given their tight cap space, it'll be tough to bring him on at what projects to be his market value. Cornstein has New York ties and was able to bring Metta World Peace to the Knicks, so they're not to be ruled out at this point.
Knicks 'trying hard' to sign FA Beno Udrih | 07/31/2013 12:33 PM
NewsThe Knicks are "trying hard" to convince Beno Udrih to accept the veteran's minimum, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Marc Stein on Twitter
ImpactUdrih hasn't received much attention this summer but he's one of the best remaining backup PGs, a position of need for New York. He felt stifled in a small role with the Bucks last year and any team vying for him will need to convince him there's available playing time. He averaged 10.2 points, 6.1 assists and 0.9 steals in 27 minutes per game with the Magic last season, and he thrived as a starter while Jameer Nelson was injured.
Magic will not re-sign Beno Udrih this summer | 07/11/2013 3:01 PM
NewsThe Orlando Magic have decided not to re-sign PG Beno Udrih this summer, according to beat writer Josh Robbins.
ImpactUdrih was unlikely to return to Orlando, but this should put the cork in it. Orlando is apparently wary of putting any long-term deals on their books at the moment. Udrih should still be able to garner some interest as a backup PG.
Report: Beno Udrih unlikely to sign w/ Magic | 07/01/2013 6:08 PM
NewsFree agent PG Beno Udrih is "less likely" to sign with the Magic this summer, according to his agent.
Sean Deveney on Twitter
ImpactThe source of this report, Sean Deveney, cites the Celtics and Wizards as two teams who might have interest in Udrih. The veteran guard has been dissatisfied with his playing time ever since the 2010-11 season with the Kings, when he averaged 13.7 points and 4.9 assists in 35 minutes per game, but he's likely to reprise a backup PG role no matter where he signs.
Beno disappears in loss to the Bulls | 04/15/2013 11:00 PM
NewsBeno Udrih disappeared in the Magic's 102-84 loss to the Bulls on Monday, scoring five points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) to go with just one assist in 23 minutes.
ImpactUnless we get surprising news that Jameer Nelson will play in the finale, owners should trot Udrih out there in most cases.
Udrih takes 22 shots, scores 13 points | 04/10/2013 11:06 PM
NewsBeno Udrih wasn't shy about shooting on Wednesday, making 6-of-22 from the field for 13 points to go with four boards, 11 assists, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Bucks.
ImpactJameer Nelson is still day-to-day with his ankle injury, but he didn't really have much of a shot to play tonight. Udrih has been been solid in the five previous games without Jameer, averaging 17.8 points, 7.8 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 triples on 50 percent shooting. He's a must-start player as long as Nelson is out.
Beno Udrih posts 27-5-7 line in loss to CHI | 04/06/2013 12:47 AM
NewsBeno Udrih scored 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds, seven assists and two steals in Friday's one-point loss to the Bulls.
ImpactUdrih has been a must-start player while Jameer Nelson is out, and he's also giving the Magic every reason to let Nelson sit. Just enjoy the ride until the wheels fall off.
Beno Udrih sizzles in another start | 04/03/2013 10:45 PM
NewsBeno Udrih had 14 points, eight assists, three rebounds, three steals and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.
ImpactUdrih continues to prove that he's a starting-caliber NBA point guard. Over the last four games, he's averaging 15.2 points, 8.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds while playing 37.0 minutes per night. Jameer Nelson hasn't shown much progress with his ankle injury, so the good times will keep rolling for Beno.
Beno Udrih stays hot as Jameer Nelson sits | 04/02/2013 12:23 AM
NewsBeno Udrih made another start at point guard on Monday and had 17 points, 10 assists and a three 3-pointers on 6-of-10 shooting in the Magic's loss to the Rockets.
ImpactUdrih had 20 points and a near triple-double on Saturday, and as long as Nelson is out with his ankle injury, Udrih is in must-start territory. And even if Jameer can play, Udrih will continue to see plenty of minutes as his backup, as well as time at shooting guard.
Beno Udrih has 20-7-8 as Magic's starting PG | 03/30/2013 10:09 PM
NewsWith Jameer Nelson (ankle) unavailable, Beno Udrih started at PG and had 20 points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, eight assists and one steal in a loss to the Hawks.
ImpactUdrih had nine assists after Nelson got hurt on Friday, so there was at least some forewarning that he'd start ahead of E'Twaun Moore. Moore finished tonight's game with four points in 17 minutes, and Udrih looks like a decent bet if Jameer misses many more games.
Beno Udrih starting at point guard Saturday | 03/30/2013 6:59 PM
NewsBeno Udrih will start at point guard for the Magic on Saturday.
Josh Robbins on Twitter
ImpactThe move makes sense for the Magic since they're so shallow on the win. E'Twaun Moore can come off the bench and play at both guard spots and should still be a major factor in the rotation. Udrih shot just 25 percent from the floor in his previous three games, so Moore seems like a slightly safer pickup with all things being equal for your team.
Beno Udrih just misses a double-double | 03/29/2013 11:16 PM
NewsBeno Udrih shot 2-of-8 from the field for 10 points with four boards, nine assists, one steal and one 3-pointer against the Wizards in a 97-92 win on Friday.
ImpactThe Magic may have lost Jameer Nelson for the foreseeable future and Beno figures to run a large portion of the offense. Despite his struggles in shooting the ball lately, Udrih is worth owning for anyone that needs assists.
Udrih struggles in first game after AA injury | 03/25/2013 10:51 PM
NewsBeno Udrih hit just 1-of-9 shots for seven points to go with four rebounds, five assists and two steals over 37 minutes on Monday.
ImpactUdrih took a shot to the chin from teammate Kyle O'Quinn and also ended up on the wrong end of a LeBron highlight, but he stayed in the game and will be better the next time out. With Magic players dropping like flies, he should get plenty of burn.
Beno Udrih plays 36 minutes on Friday | 03/22/2013 11:13 PM
NewsBeno Udrih logged 36 minutes with Arron Afflalo leaving early due to a hamstring injury on Friday, and finished with 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals.
ImpactUdrih hit 5-of-10 shots (including a three) and will slide into a 25-35 minute role if Afflalo misses time, and since Afflalo was helped off the court by teammates that wouldn't be all that surprising. Consider Udrih a short-term add for standard formats at this time.
Beno Udrih plays well as Nelson struggles | 03/21/2013 12:13 AM
NewsBeno Udrih came off the Magic bench for 13 points, three rebounds and eight assists in Wednesday's loss to the Knicks.
ImpactJameer Nelson was terrible and the Magic relied upon the bench to try to get them back in the game. Udrih has talent, but as long as Nelson is the starter, nights like this one will likely be few and far between.
Udrih disappears in Monday's win vs. NO | 03/05/2013 12:12 AM
NewsBeno Udrih disappeared in Monday's win, playing just 12 minutes on his way to two points and five assists.
ImpactUdrih hit 1-of-4 shots and it looks like the Magic aren't going to accommodate his presence by going small more often. That's good news for small forwards Moe Harkless and Tobias Harris.
Beno Udrih quiet in 17 minutes vs. Philly | 03/03/2013 9:59 PM
NewsBeno Udrih played 17 minutes off the Magic bench on Sunday, scoring five points with four assists and one steal.
ImpactIt's dispiriting that Udrih wasn't more active with Jameer Nelson (knee) still out of commission, but this game was essentially over by halftime so maybe Jacque Vaughn simply rested his veteran. Regardless, Nelson is day-to-day and there should be more alluring options on most fantasy waiver wires.
Beno Udrih plays 27 minutes in win | 02/26/2013 10:54 PM
NewsBeno Udrih came off the bench for four points, two rebounds and nine assists on 2-of-6 shooting in 27 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Sixers.
ImpactE'Twaun Moore started and double-doubled, and is a better spot starter in Jameer Nelson's absence (knee injury) than Udrih, simply because he knows the Magic's system much better than Udrih, who has only played a couple games for his new team.
Beno plays 27 bench minutes in Magic debut | 02/23/2013 11:24 PM
NewsBeno Udrih had 10 points, seven assists and two steals in 27 minutes off the bench on Saturday, his first game with the Magic.
ImpactUdrih stands as one of the few winners from this week's yawn-inducing trade deadline, though his heavy usage in his debut is partly attributable to Jameer Nelson's absence. With the versatility to play some SG and an injury-prone PG ahead of him, deep league owners should already have pounced on Beno.
Beno Udrih will be available for Saturday | 02/23/2013 3:10 PM
NewsBeno Udrih, Tobias Harris and Doron Lamb will be available to face the Cavs on Saturday night.
Joshua Robbins on Twitter
ImpactThe Magic will need them. They only played seven guys last night and were two fouls from either Moe Harkless or Kyle O'Quinn to being down to four bodies. Udrih will likely share time with E'Twaun Moore at the point while Lamb and Harris don't project to have much value right off the bat. Jacque Vaughn did praise Harris for his versatility, but he's not likely to unseat Moe Harkless.
Beno Udrih unavailable to play Friday night | 02/22/2013 5:55 PM
NewsNewly acquired PG Beno Udrih will be unavailable to play Friday against the Grizzlies.
John Denton on Twitter
ImpactUdrih was one of three players the Magic received in the trade that sent J.J. Redick to Milwaukee. He will back up Jameer Nelson, but could have some plug-n-play potential given Nelson's injury concerns. He's expected to join the Magic on Saturday.
Beno Udrih traded to Magic | 02/21/2013 4:11 PM
NewsThe Magic have acquired Beno Udrih via trade.
ImpactUdrih goes from a backup in Milwaukee to a backup in Orlando. However, he does have a better shot at playing time with the Magic thanks to Jameer Nelson's balky knees. If Nelson misses time, Beno would be an excellent plug-n-play on a team devoid of scoring options.
Report: Mavs interested in Beno Udrih | 02/21/2013 10:43 AM
NewsThe Mavericks have expressed interest in a Beno Udrih trade, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Marc Stein on Twitter
ImpactStein cautions that a possible trade is unlikely until the Bucks get a resolution on the Josh Smith front, but the Mavs targeting Udrih is unsurprising as they're in the point guard market.
Beno Udrih hands out 11 assists in win | 01/29/2013 11:10 PM
NewsBeno Udrih had seven points, four rebounds, a season-high 11 assists and two steals in 26 minutes on Tuesday.
ImpactDespite coming off the bench and playing behind studs like Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, Udrih has been quietly productive all season. He's averaging six points and six assists over his last five games, making him at least worth a look in very deep leagues.
Beno Udrih puts up a goose egg on Thursday | 01/18/2013 1:09 AM
NewsBeno Udrih failed to score in 20 minutes in a 98-94 win over the Suns on Thursday with five boards and six assists.
ImpactHe's been productive in his three previous games, averaging 11.3 points and 5.7 assists. Although, Udrih comes off the bench and he'll have his inconsistencies, so he's likely suited for deeper leagues.
Beno Udrih goes for 14 & 7 in loss | 01/16/2013 2:20 AM
NewsBeno Udrih played 26 minutes and had 14 points, seven assists and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers.
ImpactUdrih is surprisingly getting minutes off the bench and is producing, despite having to play with Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings. He's averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 assists over his last five games, and while we still don't fully trust him, he might be able to help an owner desperate for guard stats.
Beno Udrih ties team-high w/ 15 points | 01/12/2013 2:41 AM
NewsBeno Udrih had 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting vs. Detroit, tying Brandon Jennings for the team-high in scoring.
ImpactUdrih added two rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes, but he picked up extra minutes during garbage time in the second half, after Milwaukee blew the game open with a 23-5 run to start the half. As long as Jennings and Monta Ellis (13 points, four rebounds, five assists) are healthy, there's no room for Udrih on fantasy rosters.
Beno Udrih scores 10 in Boylan's debut | 01/09/2013 12:54 AM
NewsBeno Udrih came off the bench for 10 points, two rebounds and two assists on 5-of-6 shooting in 19 minutes on Tuesday.
ImpactUrdih is actually averaging nearly 10 points and three dimes over his last three games, but as long as Brandon Jennings (37 minutes) and Monta Ellis (40 minutes) are healthy, he won't have fantasy value, even in deeper leagues.
Udrih returns from an ankle injury | 01/05/2013 3:44 AM
NewsBeno Udrih returned from his ankle injury with 11 points, four boards and four assists in 24 minutes against the Rockets.
ImpactHe's battled problems with his ankle for much of the season and he doesn't have much value while Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings are healthy. Ellis scored 12 points with seven assists and two steals in 31 minutes. Brandon Jennings had 16 points, three rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in Friday's loss.

Beno Udrih (ankle) could play on Friday | 01/04/2013 1:47 PM
NewsBeno Udrih (ankle) has made "some progress" and participated in shootaround, but his status for Friday's game is unknown.
CF Gardner on Twitter
ImpactUdrih was previously labeled as doubtful for Friday's game, so it's nice to see he's made some progress with the ankle. Still, with Brandon Jennings healthy and Udrih not a major part of the rotation, he is waiver wire fodder in standard formats right now.
Udrih (ankle) won't play on Friday | 01/03/2013 4:29 PM
NewsBeno Udrih (ankle) is not expected to play on Friday.
Andrew Gruman on Twitter
ImpactAn earlier report suggested that he could be back on Friday, so it's possible that Udrih will make it back on Saturday. The backup PG is averaging 7.1 points and 3.1 assists per game.
Beno Udrih unlikely to practice Thursday | 01/03/2013 9:16 AM
NewsBeno Udrih (ankle) is unlikely to practice on Thursday, but Scott Skiles is hopeful Udrih will play Friday and Saturday.
ImpactThe Bucks play the Rockets and Pacers on back-to-back nights, and even if Udrh is back in the lineup, he has no fantasy value in standard formats.
Beno Udrih out with right ankle injury | 01/02/2013 8:10 PM
NewsBeno Udrih will miss Wednesday's game due to his lingering right ankle injury.
Bucks PR on Twitter
ImpactHe played through it in limited minutes in his last three games, but won't go tonight. And even when healthy, he has no fantasy value.
