Deduno, who had a breakthrough performance during the World Baseball Classic, has a 2.70 ERA and 17/10 K/BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings over three starts with Triple-A Rochester since returning from a groin injury. Gonzalez passed through waivers unclaimed after he was designated for assignment over the weekend following the acquisition of Reid Brignac. The 30-year-old will function as organizational depth for New York.
