Shane Victorino (hamstring) did sprints and other drills prior to Thursday's game.
He's sitting out again Thursday, but the outfielder still seems likely to avoid the disabled list. "He's still day-to-day," Red Sox manager John Farrell said Thursday. "He's unavailable tonight. So, I think, we've used as a general rule of thumb, as we get to that halfway point of the potential of putting Shane on the [disabled list], we'll make a decision at that point, but we're no closer today to making a roster move.''
Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Jered Weaver (elbow) will rejoin the rotation next week as long as his between-starts bullpen session goes well.

Weaver didn't make any minor league rehab starts, but he pitched a few times in extended spring training, including on Wednesday when he struck out nine over 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball. He seems likely to start either next Monday or Tuesday against the Dodgers, putting him in line for a two-start week.
Brett Myers (elbow) will make at least one more rehab start.

Myers' velocity was down on Wednesday in his second rehab outing with Double-A Akron, and he walked four while allowing three runs over 4 1/3 frames. Assuming his velocity comes back up the next time out, he could rejoin the Indians' rotation after that.
