Scouting Report

Assets:	Owns surprising power for his smallish frame and is a good athlete. Has a very good outfield arm and can play all three positions with aplomb. Can go on tremendous hot streaks with the bat. Is a clutch performer.
Flaws:	Swings too freely and would benefit a lot by taking more pitches (and ultimately more walks), and he also strikes out too much. Doesn't take steal a lot of bases, despite being a versatile athlete.

Cody Ross hit a walkoff sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Diamondbacks defeated the Rockies 3-2 on Saturday night in Arizona.

Ross also had an RBI triple in the bottom of the first inning. He's 14-for-50 (.280) since returning from his calf strain and has tallied seven RBI in 14 games. Ross makes for a decent third outfielder in deep mixed leagues.

Ross missed the first two weeks of the 2013 regular season because of a calf strain. His bat is a good fit at Chase Field and he makes for a fine third fantasy outfielder in mixed leagues now that he's healthy. The 32-year-old tallied 22 homers and 81 RBI in 130 games last season with Boston. Jason Kubel was placed on the disabled list in a corresponding roster move.
